SPOILERS

In the caludron, making Sun's Kiss, I could not for the life of me figure out the magic words. In the end of the scroll, it says "Sol Ignitus, Burn Away!" and it didn't work. little did I know that you were supposed to type "Sol Ignitus, Burn Away" without the exclamation mark. you should correct this, I was stuck for 20 min because of a stupid exclamation mark. Other than that, this game is awesome! Keep up the good work. And to all the people saying 'This isn't very obvious' and stuff like that... it's an adventure game, that's how it's supposed to be. Stuff isn't supposed to be laid out before you, use that grey matter on your brains!

I   have    played   a  little  bit   of   Clue   on   PC   but   the   CD      was  so  scratched  up   that  it   couldn't  work   anymore.

Love the game so far! Honestly one of the more polished MLP fan games ive seen. My only complaint is sometimes it's not very clear what needs to be done, (namely the timberwolf and garden) but aside from that the game is amazing! Cant wait to see the finished product!

Hey there, I came across this game randomly and gave it a play. I must say that it was really good! I want to see this game get released so that I can continue from where I am. Just a few things though that I wanted to say about the game.

I was a little frustrated at first since I was trying to find out how to get around the timberwolf. I knew what I had to do, but for the life of me I could not find the item I was supposed to use with the pan, after spending a good amount of time searching I finally clicked somewhere where the spoon was. It was kinda blended in with the counter so maybe put it somewhere more visible? And reading some of the comments made me agree with the notion that combining items should be explained some more. One suggestion I could make on that is to lead the player directly into the correct solution while having Octavia talk out loud about how combing certain items can get her further in this quest, thusforth solving the timberwolf problem automatically, but after that, the player is on their own. It's like giving a freebie out so that the players know how the game works and not left rummaging for a good 20 to 30 minutes, but it's just a suggestion that I thought of while playing it.

Next thing was that there were 2 scrolls that I found that I could not use. Are they not available yet cause it's a demo? Or is it a bug? The 2 scrolls I am talking about are the Bio Acid scroll and the Nature's Symphony scroll.

The other thing that had me confused was the Wax Bomb scroll. The second item description mentioned about taking what the bees called home. I assumed I needed to get some of the wax from the beehive and use the bomb on something, but I couldn't figure out how to take out the hive. After rummaging around again, I decided to try and go for the wax candle and sure enough that was the answer. Maybe you could make that scroll say something different, cause the scroll really does make it seem that you need to take a part of the beehive to get that wax bomb. Now the only part I can't seem to do is find the fuse for the bomb, which probably means I reached as far as the demo could go.

Also, how were you supposed to figure out about the flower in the garden? I didn't see anything that pointed in the right direction for those flowers and just ended up click every single one getting many deaths until I found the right one.

As for glitches, I didn't seem to catch any beside test that wasn't inside the text box, but just above it instead.

All in all, it's really solid and really enjoyed it, and I like where the story was going! Keep at it and I really look forward to the full release of the game! Thanks!

Thanks, I'll try to fix any and all glitches from the game.

Also, the wax requirement is supposed to be intentionally confusing. You fell for the trap going into harm's way instead of thinking of a better solution. So yeah, it works and that's not changing. XD

Hey, you know what would be cool? that if you beat the game, you unlock Human Octavia...yeah, that's just a lame excuse to see Human Octavia die the many deaths in the game, pay no mind to it.
...Too bad for my friends who don't speak english, only spanish...if only someone would transalate it...I would translate it but I wouldnt be able to change the text in game...too bad....god It sounds like asking you, Im not, It's just a thought

FEEDBACK

Change the dialog option of "timberwolf" with vinyl so that it appears before you provoke the timberwolf. (the dialog option is available as soon as you see the timberwolf)

REASON
Most people (including myself) would assume that waking the timberwolf would be a clear way to die, since their is no "trap or something" in the way to defeat it or slow it. So the more cautious of us are stuck trying to find a way to progress without waking the timberwolf in the first place.
The tableware suggestion in this mindset would surely spell doom with this sensibility, but there is no hint that this is the "bizarre" answer that the developer intended, nor would we stumble on this hint, since the more cautious would never think of waking the timberwolf and thus opening up the hint from vinyl.
I personally was trying to find some item combination that let me "assault" the head, or to "knock the key out" of it's teeth, or that there was some odd combination of plants that might repel the timberwolf (like how mosquito don't like certain plants). But to no avail.
There is a hint that tableware can scare them away, but this is only after you wake him, which the more cautious of us would not get to.
You hurt the "cautious playstyle" in the game's current iteration. I personally died on this first puzzle via the time limit. (not nice intro)

I did not watch the episode where granny smith scares away the timberwolves. (if it exists)

I felt the very first item combination (spoon and pan) was completely unintuitive, it stalled me for roughly 30 minutes, not a nice introduction to a game!
I feel that there should be more hints that this is possible.

Hey, been a little while since someone posted about this it seems. No doubt alot of people are waiting for this nevertheless. *Clears throat* Ahem, I just found and played this game, and I must say, even though I don't really play horror themed stuff (Not because I don't like it but because I get so scared I can't continue playing. I do love the genre itself.) your game has really left me with that "I want more" feeling after I finished the demo. Little details like talking animation and etc may not be in every game of the same type but it surely helps on making it better, and it helps tons! I didn't get all of the death scenes but there seems to be a big variety and that's nice. Ah, another thing is the fear meter, I definitely loved that aspect of the game. Poor Octavia, hahaha.

Erm, I started writing this with alot of things in my mind to say but I forgot all of them already, I'll surely remember later after playing again and again, haha. Something about the art style and amazing expressions and reactions draw me in again. Anyway, hope to see this game done soon. I really enjoyed playing every second of it.

Funnily enough, there is a zombie in the house that will pop up randomly and chase you down, so it kinda has a Scissorman element to it.

I'm playing it intermittently, with at most 2 deaths per day.
I'll collect all the bugs I can find.
Also, I suggest that you maintain a journal page for known bugs, so that people won't report the same bug many times.

So today I tried to play it, and I was running around unable to proceed (I had the hat, the oil container with oil inside, and the bolt tightener), so I decided to wait and see what would going mad be like. After some waiting, Octavia was on the brink of madness, and suddenly some warning said something that was roughly "Buffer overflow".

I used Ubuntu 12.10, with Wine.
